From 2D arcade type games to First Person Shooters and Third Person RPGs. This class is the start of your journey. This two semester class will teach the basic skills you need to make games: thinking outside the box, physics, creativity, level building, and design, to name a few. The student will obtain an understanding of a real world gaming engine.
In this class the student moves into a more advanced programming structure and learns how to build out 3rd person type games. This will include, Unity Cinemachine, mouse movement, inventory management, more advanced enemy AI, fighting engine, and much more. To take this year-long class, the student must have completed the Game Development part 2 class.
This class will continue the game development journey by diving into 3D games. By gaining more advanced knowledge of the Unity Engine, the student will move into designing levels using Unity’s terrain builder, bone animation, enemy AI, and so much more. To take this year long class, the student must have completed the Game Development part 1 class.
In this class the students will work together and build a game. They will learn how to create a detailed game design document, learn how to work together in a team environment, deal with version control, and publish the game. They will use everything that they have learned from all the previous game development classes. To take this year-long class, the student must have completed the Game Development part 3 class.
